Bad and Bouye: Panthers Add Veteran Corner Ahead of Draft!

Let me start this by saying that the Panthers social media team is undefeated!

Leading up to the draft, general manager Scott Fitterer made it clear he wanted to address the secondary. There was a possibility that he might be interested in bringing Sherman to Carolina due to the Seattle connection but no such luck. Bouye was one of the few starter quality corners available on the market.

Although coming back from a down year in which he endured multiple injuries and was suspended, Bouye can likely be penciled into the spot across from Donte Jackson. The Panthers' defense will be without him for the first 2 weeks since his full suspension for PEDs has not been fully served.

In 2017, Bouye was once a top-flight corner in Jacksonville, leading them to the AFC Championship before falling to Tom Brady. That year, he recorded 6 INT and 18 PDs, which is crazy good!

In 2020, Bouye should serve as a veteran presence, helping the Panthers bring sustained excellence to the Carolinas. What are your thoughts? Leave them in the comments below.
